Katelynn Mitchell

Katelynn focuses her practice on family law, including divorce, custody, child support, division of property and debt, alimony, name changes, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and civil protection orders. 

After graduating from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona, with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary and Special Education and a minor in History, Katelynn moved to Boise to attend law school at Concordia University School of Law. While in law school, she served as the Student Bar Association delegate, President of the American Constitution Society, and was the 2016 student recipient of the Richard C. Fields Civility Award, which honors individuals who demonstrate a commitment to professionalism and civility in the legal profession. Katelynn graduated in 2017 and proceeded to take the Idaho State Bar Examination in 2017 and then the Hawaii State Bar Examination in 2018. 

Katelynn established K. Mitchell Law, PLLC in 2018, and worked as a sole practitioner focusing on family law until 2022, when she partnered with her good friend and colleague Aaron Hooper to form Hooper Mitchell & Associates, PLLC. 

She was raised on the Big Island of Hawaii, and she returns frequently. Katelynn is licensed to practice law in the State of Idaho, Hawaii, the U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts.

Katelynn is actively involved in the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association and the Family Law Section of the Idaho State Bar. In her free time, Katelynn enjoys spending time with her golden retriever, Brewer, traveling, drawing, skiing, and everything outdoors.
